Altice USA Programming Notice

AlticeUSA, the US division of the company that purchased Cablevision has informed the Town of a programming change which will remove Starz/Encore, and such popular shows as Outlander from the programming they are offering for 2018. This situation is the result of unsuccessful negotiations between the two entities over the fee being charged to Altice customers for the Starz/Encore service.

Starz programming may still be purchased directly from Starz or watched through Hulu, however these options require internet service and a Smart TV, fire stick or similar device or computer. Attached is a letter from Altice explaining their side of the dispute and detailing the replacement channels being offered. If you would like to revisit your plan package and explore your "à la cart" choices on your monthly bill, you can do so at www.optimum.net or by calling 914-378-8900.

Unfortunately, this controversy is controlled by federal law and the regulations of the New York State Public Service Commission and is outside the jurisdiction of the Town under our Franchise Agreement. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and will take advantage of any opportunity presented to interject our strong feeling that Lewisboro cable television subscribers, especially those who are older and may not be as technologically astute, should receive access to the broadest possible programming at a reasonable cost.

Any updates will be posted to this page.
