Supervisor and Town Board

 

The Supervisor is the Chief Administrator of the Town Government and is responsible for overseeing legislation. As chief financial officer the Supervisor prepares the annual Town budget. As Chair of the Town Board the Supervisor presides over all meetings.

The Supervisor presides over all Town Board meetings. The Supervisor is one of five members of the Town Board and they function as a legislative body of the Town and are responsible for making policy decisions, adopting the annual budget to fund the Town’s operations, approving contracts, and proposing and enacting laws and resolutions for the betterment of the Town’s residents. The Supervisor also represents the Town in its dealings with other towns, villages, counties, New York State, and the federal government.
